Public

studioK works with state and local municipalities from planning to construction administration on a variety of projects from roof replacements to new state of the art science labs. As a registered Women Business Enterprise with the State of Illinois, we have undergone project management training to meet the requirements of state led projects. Our experience in working with both public clients and private owners in rural historic cities and towns help bridge the gap between public and private investment.

Commercial

Whether it’s a new building or the reimagining of an existing space, studioK can work with your team to create a place that will make a lasting impact on your staff and customers. Our team listens to your needs and wants and help prioritize the two to create a place that speaks to your company's mission. We can provide services from preliminary planning for feasibility to interior design to contract administration to ensure your project goes smoothly from start to finish.

Adaptive Reuse

Looking to the past to redevelop for the future is how we approach our adaptive reuse projects. Transforming existing and often times, historic, architecture into something usable and fit for modern life or business is done through creativity, attention to detail and a sensitivity to the “story” that each building possesses.

Residential

One of the best parts of working in architecture and design is getting to know the people that live in the spaces that we create. Each family we work with is made up of unique individuals and often times they learn as much about themselves in the process of designing a new home or reimagining an existing home as we do walking beside them in the process. Creating an environment for people to live is a task we don’t take lightly and we work closely with our clients to understand their goals and interpret their vision.
